I have by my bedside and have been reading off and on this month, an older book by Terry Cole-Whittaker, titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business”. A very appropriate title as so often we judge ourselves by what others think of us. At the time of the writing of the book, Terry Cole-Whittaker was considered to be one of the premier inspirational and spiritual teachers in the world. She was a pioneer in the work of coaching, spiritual teaching, healing, and metaphysical teachings.
The book is about saying goodbye to old assumptions that hold us back and limit us and saying hello to a newer, more confident, vibrant and happier you. She touches on many topics including breaking the circle of guilt, certainty of purpose, the myth of competition, possession is to destroy, others are not your source, and much more.
There are stories and lessons and literally thousands of bits of information, thoughts, and ideas to reflect upon and easily integrate into your daily life. One of the unique sections of each chapter is a section devoted to self-awareness strategies and exercises. Within this section are subtopics of observe, choose, give up blame, create it the way you want it, and affirmations.
I’m really enjoying this book as it touches on all areas of ways to begin and follow your journey to happiness, success and self-fulfillment. It’s a source of inspiration for me, as well as a guide to recognize, share and use my potential.
If you’re interested in your personal power, and how you can use it to be what you want, do what you want, and have what you in your life, this is a perfect book to add to your library or begin your journey.
